Artisan Organic Jewellery Where Nature Reflects Your Stories.
Handpicked & Handmade in New Zealand.

HELLO, MY NAME IS RINA WARD

Jewellery Artist. Intrepid Nature Scavenger. Beachcomber.

I collect pieces of flora and fauna (most often native to New Zealand) and I create them into one-of-a-kind jewellery.

Native seashells, fishbones, beach sand, leaves, petals and pods . These are the precious gems of my unpretentious yet meaningful jewellery line.

These organic treasures reflect personal stories that are special to the wearer as they represent something unique about themselves, their family, and their values. They also celebrate the distinctive beauty found only in this beautiful country of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Welcome to Nostalgem (no-stál-jem).

PAUA SHELL COLLECTION

Freshwater paua shells that have not reached adulthood have been sustainably and ethically transformed into some of our bestselling jewellery pieces.

WABI-SABI BAROQUE PEARL COLLECTION

Because of its non-traditional, free-form shapes, our baroque pearl jewellery (like the Mother & Child Necklace pictured) is a lovely expression of your one-of-a-kind and perfectly imperfect life.

KINA SHELL COLLECTION

All along the coast of New Zealand, you can find Kina (sea urchin). The prickly spikes of this unusual sea creature, once come off, reveal the beautiful textured pattern that lays beneath. See our collected kina fragments turned into jewels.

FLORAGEM COLLECTION

Inspired by the beauty of rough cut gemstones and flowers from my hometown, the Bay of Islands, we’ve created our very own – floragems. Infused with floral elements that have been picked, dried and crushed.

FISH BACKBONE COLLECTION

Snapper vertebrae fishbones that were fossicked in local beaches (or sustainably caught) find a new lease in life as handsculpted vessel pendants.

PIPI SHELL (COASTAL GEM COLLECTION)

Tiny sunbleached pipi shells, iconic New Zealand native seashells. Remember your the long hot summers digging deep in the sand for these delicious kai (food).
